Restorative Evening in River North

Five long, fully supported shapes held for eight minutes each, designed for the end of a working day rather than the start of one.

The session

What actually happens

Restorative yoga looks like doing very little and feels like considerably more than that. You hold five shapes, each of them propped up with bolsters and blankets so your muscles are not working, and each one is held long enough for your nervous system to notice.

We run this on a Thursday evening on purpose. Most of the room comes straight from an office, and the first ten minutes are usually spent unwinding rather than practising. That is fine and it is accounted for.

All props are provided. You do not need flexibility, strength, or any prior experience, and the most common feedback we get is that people wish it had been longer.
