Long-held floor shapes by candlelight on a December evening, with the room warm, the lights low and nothing asked of you but stillness.
The session
Yin holds each shape for three to five minutes, which is long enough that the work stops being muscular and starts being connective. It is slow, it is quiet, and for a lot of people it is the hardest class we run.
Tennyson Hall is a small wooden room on the north side of Berkeley. We light it with candles along the walls, keep the heating up, and use no music for the final twenty minutes.
This runs on the second Saturday of every month through the winter. It is our most consistently full Denver session, so booking a week ahead is sensible.
