Altitude Breathwork in RiNo

A breathwork session built specifically for a mile of altitude, with a slower ramp and longer recovery than the same class at sea level.

The session

What actually happens

Breathing practices behave differently at five thousand feet, and pretending otherwise is how people end up lightheaded on the floor. This session uses a slower build, shorter active rounds and a longer recovery than the version we run in Chicago.

The first twenty minutes cover what altitude actually does to a breathing practice and how to tell the difference between an intense round and one you should stop. Anyone who has moved to Denver in the last year tends to find this the most useful part of the evening.

We finish seated in a circle with tea. Larimer Works is a five-minute walk from the light rail and there is street parking on Walnut after six.
