Morning Flow in Freedom Park

A gentle, unhurried hour on the Great Lawn, built for people who have never set foot in a yoga studio and would rather keep it that way.

The session

What actually happens

This is the class we point beginners toward. The sequence is deliberately short on Sanskrit and long on plain instruction, and there is no expectation that anyone in the room has done this before. Roughly a third of every session is made up of first-timers.

We practice on the Great Lawn near the bandshell, facing away from the path so nobody feels watched. The pace stays conversational throughout, with room to stop, sit down and rejoin whenever you like.

A volunteer stays behind for half an hour afterwards to answer questions, hand out the schedule for the rest of the season, and introduce newcomers to the regulars. Come and talk to them, that is exactly what they are there for.
